In case you hadn’t noticed by now, we’re not your typical hair salon. We do things differently than you’re probably used to, so we wrote out all the boring shit for you here. You should read it so we don’t have to send you back to this page when you ask us the same questions later. Deal?

where are you located?

All of our artists specialize behind their chair only doing services that they love. This means your artist is going to be really damn good at what they do. We believe in letting our artists choose the type of services they do behind the chair.

If you are booking through your artist, please be patient, kind and respectful as we take our time off from work and our self care very seriously! All of our artists create their own schedules, so please leave up to 48 hours for your artist to connect with you.

How do i book as a returning client?

There is paid street parking and you pay for parking using the ParkenIn App and use area #1333.  
We highly recommend finding the plenty of free parking around the Broadway neighbourhood and do some shopping at the amazing local businesses that Broadway has to offer before or after your session.

where do i park?

With your party pants on and with clean dry hair within 24 hours of your appointment time, FREE of dry shampoo, serums/oils or heavy products. 
If you have curly or textured hair pls have your hair dried in its natural texture with ZERO product in your hair,
OR at the discretion of your hair artist.

Please do any pre-treatments or preparation for your hair requested or required by your artist. Should you not be able to show up to your session as requested by your artist, on a case-by-base basis there may be addition time charges OR your session may be cancelled and a cancellation fee will be applied.  


 Dirty hair is NOT better!

how should i prep for my appointment?

10000% yes! Our artists work closely together to ensure a smooth session for you and that head of hair of yours. 
The crew here specialize in what they love which means when you sit on our chairs you know that the artist doing your hair is putting their heart and soul into your session.

All of our artists collaborate so you can see any of our specialists for the look you are going for, or 
have one or more artist work on your hair to create a truly unique look and experience.
Having more than one artist working on your hair can also be a beneficial way to mind your wallet! 

You can also book based on budget, availability, or have us recommend an artist for you!

Can i see any stylist?

It’s easy and it’s simple.
And it’s completely transparent. 
You’ll know exactly what you're paying at your session! 

This means our artists charge an hourly rate and we are gratuity free.
So your appointment is based on the time it takes us to best reach your hair goals and for our artists to take the proper steps to create a great experience for you and that mop on your head. 
All sessions come with a mandatory consultation. We won’t see you without one! This is where you and your artist will chat about your hair goals, history and maintenance for any future sessions. 
*a test strand may be requested by your artist before your session is booked*
Once you have been to your artist, you’ll discuss your future sessions which are custom-based around the services and experience you want to have. 

We don’t charge for add-ons or product charges - which means we won’t upsell you SHIT!!

what does all-inclusive, time-based pricing mean?

Umm fuck yes. It’s actually your human right to just. shut. the. f*ck. up. and just chill out. This is YOUR TIME! Once we are done chatting hair, you are welcome to do what ever the fuck you want.

You bet!!!! You are not responsible for your artis'ts income. 
Besides, have you ever read the history of tipping? Well, it’s UGLY. Tipping is deeply rooted in racism and sexism and we aren’t about that. 
AND the income of an employee is between them and their employer. You - the client - are only responsible for the price it costs you to see the artist you want.

Instead of a tip - refer a friend to your fave artist, leave a review for the world to see, take a million selfies and at post at least one of them and tag your artist and us @inlihtanyxe. We do, however, accept drinks, snacks, joints and homemade food, if you're in a giving mood. 

Are you really gratuity free?

HELL NO!!! The days of showing up with dirty hair are OVER!!!! Please for the love of your artist… please show up with your hair washed within 24 hours and free of any products, oils, or dry shampoo.

is dirty hair better to colour?

FUCK YESSS! We can’t wait to meet you!
in order for us to do our job best, we require all new clients to fill out a new client form and one of our artists will get back to you

can i take my hair home?

We provide the opportunity to our clients to take home their hair for sacred or ceremonial purposes. 
If you would like you bring your own bag to take your hair home or cloth for your hair to fall onto, please feel free to bring it..
We also provide paper bags for you to take your hair home.
